Anti-static measures for hot air blowers after use in electrostatic environments

After the hot air blower is used in a static electricity environment, to prevent static electricity from damaging the equipment, the following anti-static measures should be taken:

First, equipment grounding and bonding

Grounding measures: Ensure that the metal parts of the hot air blower are in good contact with the ground, and quickly release static electricity to the Earth through the grounding wire to prevent static electricity accumulation. The cross-sectional area of the grounding wire should be no less than ten square millimeters, and the resistance of a single anti-static grounding should not exceed 100 ohms.

binding treatment: For the metal components inside the hot air blower, a low-impedance path should be established through binding to minimize the voltage difference between them and further reduce the possibility of electrostatic discharge.

Second, use anti-static materials

Shell material: Conductive materials or anti-static coatings are adopted to enable static electricity to quickly flow to the ground through the conductive path, preventing static electricity accumulation.

Internal components: For internal components that are prone to generating static electricity, such as circuit boards and wires, anti-static materials can be selected or anti-static treatments can be carried out, such as applying anti-static coatings.

Third, environmental humidity control

Increase humidity: By methods such as spraying, sprinkling water or using industrial humidifiers, raise the relative humidity of the environment to 60% to 70% to suppress the generation of static electricity. Humidity control is one of the effective methods to prevent electrostatic discharge.

Fourth, install static electricity elimination equipment

Static eliminator: Install static eliminators around or at key locations of the hot air blower. By releasing ions of opposite polarity to charged objects, they neutralize the static charges on the hot air blower and prevent static discharge.

Fifth, protection of operators

Anti-static clothing: Operators should wear anti-static clothing, including anti-static shoes and anti-static suits, to reduce the accumulation of static electricity caused by friction between the human body and air or the ground.

Anti-static wristband: When operating a hot air blower, the operator can wear an anti-static wristband to promptly conduct the static electricity on the human body to the ground.

Sixth, regular inspection and maintenance

Insulation resistance test: Regularly conduct insulation resistance tests on the electrical components of the hot air blower to ensure good insulation performance and prevent leakage or short circuits caused by static electricity.

Cleaning and maintenance: Regularly clean the casing and internal components of the hot air blower to remove dust and dirt, reducing the chance of static electricity accumulation.
