Glue selection and application:
Choose the right glue: Resin glue is recommended. It has long-lasting adhesion and is environmentally friendly, making it suitable for shoe repair. Avoid using glue such as 502 glue that can cause shoes to harden and turn white.
Thin application of glue: Take an appropriate amount of glue and evenly apply it to the glue separation gap. Just apply a thin layer. There is no need to stack thick layers to avoid wasting materials or causing secondary glue separation.
Use a hot air blower to soften the glue:
Control temperature and distance: Use a hot air blower to set the hot air mode, maintain a distance of about 20 centimeters from the shoe upper, and heat the glue evenly for 30 seconds until it is slightly moist. Hot air can activate the active factors in the glue and enhance the bonding strength.
Observe the changes in the glue: During the heating process, carefully observe the changes in the glue. When you find that the glue becomes thick, stop heating immediately to prevent the glue from overheating and causing a decline in performance.
Compaction bonding
Make sure the gap is closed: Press the upper of the shoe firmly by hand or with a special tool to ensure that the gap is completely closed. Paper balls or cloth strips can be stuffed into the shoes for fixation to enhance the uniformity of adhesion.
Curing treatment
Static curing: After the bonding is completed, it needs to be left to stand for 6 to 8 hours. During this period, avoid moving or touching the shoes to ensure that the glue is fully cured. It can be worn normally the next day, and the strength of the bonding area can reach 92% of the original upper.
Safety precautions:
Ventilation operation: All operations must be carried out in a well-ventilated area to avoid the glue mist irritating the eyes.
Avoid high-temperature damage: When using a hot air blower, it is necessary to control the temperature and distance well to prevent local high temperatures from causing damage to shoes or glue.
