Generally speaking, the temperature of the hot air blower should be controlled within a range that enables the heat shrink tube to contract uniformly, to avoid the heat shrink tube melting due to excessively high temperature or being unable to contract due to excessively low temperature.
Insert the heat shrink tube:
Carefully place the heat shrink tube over the part of the cable that requires insulation or protection, ensuring that the heat shrink tube completely covers the area that needs to be treated.
Heating shrinkage
Use a hot air blower to heat the heat shrinkable tubes. When heating, start from one end of the heat shrink tube and gradually move to the other end to ensure that the heat shrink tube is heated evenly.
During the heating process, it is necessary to maintain an appropriate distance between the hot air blower and the heat shrink tube to avoid direct contact or local overheating caused by being too close.
Observe the contraction of the heat shrink tube. Stop heating when the heat shrink tube has completely contracted and is closely attached to the cable.
Cooling and inspection
Let the heat shrink tube cool naturally for a period of time to ensure it is completely cured.
